ADAM KIRBY Royal Ascot Friday

first_imgYOUR SAYIf you have a question for Adam drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll try and include in the next blog… Tough day at the office on Thursday. I’ve still got plenty of faith in Konchek who finished fifth in the Norfolk Stakes but he might be seen to better effect when stepping up to six furlongs as he looks ready for that now.I’m back at Ascot on Friday for one ride before driving home to Newmarket for another in the evening.FRIDAYROYAL ASCOTHEARTACHE (3.40pm Commonwealth Cup)Unquestionably a top class two-year-old as she proved when winning the Queen Mary Stakes here 12 months ago. She was doing everything nicely before her reappearance at Haydock, but didn’t fire so we come into this race with some questions to be answered with her over the six furlongs. That said, I’m greatly looking forward to riding her and it would’t come as a massive shock to see her bounce back to her two-year-old form and hopefully grab a slice of the action in this Group 1 which looks wide open.NEWMARKETICART POINT (7.30 Newmarket)Has already stepped up on his two-year-old form by winning well at Windsor on his seasonal reappearance in April when I made all the running on him. The handicapper has had his say with a hike of 6lbs and the big question for us today is whether he can be in the same kind of form on the quicker ground. Clearly if he does, he’s got a great chance of back to back wins.Best Of LuckADAMlast_img
