That in itself is a major development — she is one of his closest confidants, holds a senior party position and her trip would mark the first time any member of the ruling Kim family has visited the South since the Korean War. The coverage of the parade seemed heavily edited.North Korea had said it would hold a big event to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of its military. Feb. 8 has been seen as a less important founding anniversary but made something of a comeback in 2015 and was elevated further this year in part because it is the 70th — a nice round number. The parade also featured tanks, armored vehicles, jets flying over the square in formation to make a “70,” and thousands of people dressed in red, white and yellow creating the letters “Kim Jong Un” in Korean and the ruling Workers’ Party’s symbol of the brush, hammer and sickle. The North also rolled out what appeared to be a Hwasong-12 intermediate range missile, which it flew over Japan twice last year as it stepped up the aggressiveness of its weapons tests. In this image taken from video footage, North Korean military personnel salute as they lay flowers in front of giant statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in central Pyongyang, Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018. Later, North Korea displayed its most powerful strategic weapons, including what appeared to be Hwasong-14 and Hwasong-15 ICBMs rolled out on launcher trucks. The virus of football has entered into the bodies of each and every Russian citizen,” Infantino said.Hundreds of thousands of foreigners are visiting, with many saying it has allowed them to discover a different, softer side to Russia.“Many stereotypes about Russia have simply collapsed,” Putin told his guests, who also included Lothar Matthaus of Germany and Marco van Basten of the Netherlands.“People have seen that Russia is a hospitable country which is friendly to visitors.”Infantino praised Putin’s government for busting negative anti-Russian stereotypes.“All the fears that some were trying to put on us with regards to this World Cup, well not only they were not true but it’s actually the opposite.”Infantino was elected president of world football’s governing body in 2016. It had been a week of unbeaten runs tumbling down and it started off in midweek with Bandari’s run brought to a screeching halt in a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz while on Saturday, leaders Mathare United were stunned with a 2-1 loss at the hands of bottom side Mount Kenya.Sharks who were held to a 0-0 draw by Mathare in midweek at Kasarani were next on line to ensure that no side finishes this season invincible.Kariobangi Sharks defender Geoffrey Shiveka attempts to clear the ball under pressure from Sofapaka forward John Avire during their Kenyan Premier League clash at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on February 3, 2019. PHOTO/SofapakaThe Kariobangi Sharks players spent not more than five minutes in the dressing room, head coach William Muluya clearly enraged by the performance he had seen from his cup winning team in the first 45 minutes of the game.Sharks were completely outfoxed by Batoto ba Mungu in the opening half and the 2009 champions should have actually led by more than a goal had they been more clinical with their chances, most of which were contributed by John Oyemba’s 45 minutes to forget.Muluya had made four changes to his squad, skipper Patillah Omotto, strikers Duke Abuya and George abege all missing out with injuries/Sidney Lokale, James Mazembe and Henry Juma were given the chance to audition for permanent places, but they could not rise to the occasion.Sofapaka were a side beaming with confidence especially after Baraza’s take-over.Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Vincent Wasambo weaves away from Sofapaka midfielders Elli Asieche and Mohammed Kilume during their Kenyan Premier League clash at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on February 3, 2019. PHOTO/SofapakaHowever, their pre-match plan was thrown into the bin just six minutes into the game when skipper Dennis Odhiambo had to hobble off injured after coming off worst from a clash with Mazembe and he was replaced by Elli Asieche. However, that did not stop them from their determination to bring all three home. In the eighth minute, John Avire was teed up off a freekick by Titus Achesa but his well taken low shot from distance whistled just wide off target. In the 19th minute, Asieche’s freekick from the left fell on Kasuti inside the box but the winger could not muster a strong shot off his weaker left foot, the ball flying straight to Oyemba’s arms.Three minutes later, Achesa tried his luck with a curling freekick from the edge of the box, but Oyemba parried it away for a corner. The shot stopper had a shaky day and an effort that he should have easily collected evaded his grasp. He played part in Sofapaka’s opener when he failed to hold on to a corner from Asieche, dropping the ball at Kasuti’s feet who poked it home from a yard out.Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Vincent Wasambo wheels away from Sofapaka defender Titus Achesa during their Kenyan Premier League clash at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on February 3, 2019. Arsenal hero Ray Parlour admits a modern footballer ‘has to be boring’, after pictures of Jack Wilshere with the police outside a London nightclub made the back pages.Various newspapers published photographs, as well as video footage online, of the England midfielder speaking to police officers outside West End club Cafe de Paris, and being shielded from onlookers by a group of friends.Reports of the incident on Saturday varied from Wilshere being at the centre of a brawl which began inside of the popular celebrity haunt, to the Gunners star simply arriving late in the night to check up on his girlfriend and drive her home.It is understood Wilshere had no involvement in any ruckus and didn’t even consume any alcohol. And Parlour, who admitted he made ‘lots of mistakes’ early in his career and had to have seven stitches in his head after a night out with Frank Lampard at the SAME CLUB, has sympathy for Wilshere. The Gunners legend insists the story was blown way out of proportion, adding that the increased media spotlight on celebrities means the modern footballer has to sacrifice a social life to keep his public image intact. He told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “You’ve got to be quite boring really. That’s what you’ve got to sacrifice if you want to be a football now.“When I got into the first team it was totally different. Everyone went out, there was more socialising and we could enjoy ourselves. In the early 90s I made lots of mistakes, but there weren’t any camera phones, so you could fall over in a bar and no one says anything. It certainly wouldn’t be on the front page of the papers.“Those days you could get away with it a little bit more, but times have changed.“It’s a shame because you want to live a normal life as much as you can but you just can’t now because of the public eye.“It’s also a shame because he’s worked so hard to get himself back fit and he’s looking to be a part of the Euros squad, so someone takes a picture of a fracas and it’s going to be front and back pages news, because Jack is a big name.“Arsene Wenger will have pulled him over afterwards, but he wouldn’t have gone to town on him.“The boss isn’t stupid. He will hear Jack’s side of the story and see in training that he is working hard to get himself fit again. He’s not going to jeopardise that on a night out.”Listen to Ray Parlour’s take on the Jack Wilshere story, plus his candid account of what happened on a night out with Frank Lampard at Cafe de Paris, in the audio clip above!
